From its establishment in 1909 into the 1960s, students at Lesley were expected to uphold the honor of the school through appearance and action. Each student was to be, as most of the alumnae noted in their oral histories, "a lady". However, this role slowly changed with the times. The pictures and documents in this section offer a glimpse into campus life from the 1920s to the 1960s and the expectations that were placed on students at Lesley through the decades.
