Transcription

"Provided that long period of student teaching [at Lesley] was very very valuable because I did teach before I got into broadcasting. I became a tenured teacher in Hicksville, NY. So I did teach, and when my kids were very little, I taught and enjoyed it, loved it, and when my kids got bigger, I knew there were other things that I wanted to do, but I am a tenured teacher..." She was not prevented from teaching because of her children, perhaps because she was teaching in NY versus MA. She did not face sexism in her career.
