"We were young ladies don’t forget. And Miss Malloch made it very clear to us that we were the emissaries and the advertisement for Lesley. And we should act like ladies. And we never could go to Harvard Square without our hats and our gloves and, of course, we all wore skirts and a pocketbook, which always very funny. And we only went on when there was no classes, I think we only went in the afternoon. And…but our lights were out in the dormitory at 10. And there was a study hall. And we had wonderful assemblies once a month, I think. But Mrs. Wolfard and she was a tower of strength. We has a lecture everyday by Gertrude Malloch on what we did and what didn’t do. She was a…all I can say…describing Gertrude Malloch was life is earnest and life is forever. I mean she was very, very positive and to the point. I rather liked her but I didn’t…I didn’t love her like Mrs. Wolfard." 15:07
